About Knox Calc
Knox Calc takes Project Zomboid apart with numbers. Every article starts from one question the game itself never answers: how long a fracture really takes to heal, what a repair attempt costs, which recipe is gated behind what. Each page carries something you can actually use, not a summary you could get anywhere else.
What you get on every page
- Calculators — put your own numbers in and get an answer for your character, not a worked example from someone else's.
- Trackers — for problems you work through over several sessions, a checklist that holds its state instead of a paragraph telling you to be careful.
- Tables and datasets — figures gathered from source files, patch notes and user reports, reconciled and laid out so you can compare rather than read.
Who runs this
Knox Calc is operated by Cabotine and edited by Kim Yewon (김예원). Operated by Cabotine · edited by Kim Yewon.
To be plain about method: these articles are not written from personal playthroughs. They are built by checking figures against primary material — game files, patch notes, developer posts and changelogs — and against what players report on forums and in recorded runs. The work here is that cross-checking against the original data: scattered figures turned into one table or calculator you can act on.
That comes with a rule. Where sources disagree, the article shows the split and says which way the evidence leans, instead of quietly picking a side. Where a figure could not be confirmed, it says so rather than rounding a guess into a claim. Sources are cited so you can check them yourself.
Editorial policy
Articles are drafted with the help of automated tooling and reviewed by a person before publication. Nothing is published without that review. Where a source is available online it is linked in the article. Figures on this site are drawn from the underlying data rather than captured from a screen. Corrections are welcome — mail [email protected] and the page will be updated with a visible revision date.
How we work
Every article starts from a question players are actually asking, and it has to answer that question with something you cannot get from a summary: a calculator you can put your own numbers into, a table compiled from source data, a dataset, or a tracker. Articles that would only restate what the official wiki already says do not get published.
We state the game build an article was checked against. When a patch invalidates something, we update the page and change the revision date rather than quietly leaving it up.
Advertising
This site may carry display advertising in the future. If it does, advertisements will be labelled and kept separate from article text, and advertisers will have no input into what we cover or what we conclude.
